Neuromodulation refers to minimally invasive therapies that use electrical stimulation or infusions to modify nerve activity. Apart from usual surgical risk of infection, bruise and bleeding, lead fracture, displacement, malfunction, transient changes in stimulation and remote chance of CSF leak and nerve damage exists.
